I bet it is more than 8 hours a day. You tend to believe that one hour of workout can counter the 10 hours of sedentary activity. Then you are wrong.

Based on a study by the University of Texas School of Public Health, marathoners train 6.5 hours per week on average. However, they spend almost 10 hours a day sitting.

Punishing yourself at the gym for hours is not the only way to make you fit. Do you know that walking can help to undo the damage on the arteries in the legs due to hours of sitting? Thanks to the finding by Indiana University.

For a beginner, you can walk 3 miles per hour. Increase to 4 miles per hour for a more challenging walk.

A recent walking guideline proposes 10,000 steps a day. However, not everyone can achieve that goal. All you need is at least 150 minutes of exercise each week.

Walking alone will not provide all you need. Running works better than walking when it comes to bone health. To develop more muscles, you should do resistance training.

Your body needs movement just like it needs nutrients every day. I believe walking will give your body the movement it needs.
