How to Have Confidence by Adopting a Realistic Attitude

If you are struggling with confidence in your life, you are not alone. Most people think that confidence is something that lucky people have, people who can do anything and everything.

Part of the problem with trust is that we feel like we have tons and tons all the time. The reality is, not everyone knows how to be confident in all situations.

Self-confidence is actually an attitude a person possesses, which allows them to have a positive view of themselves and the situations in which life can put them. People with a confident attitude are realistic. They trust their abilities and believe that they will be able to do most of what they want to do in life. They know that they cannot do everything.

To see how confident you have, you need to understand that specific individuals are always going to some areas in their life that they are more confident than others.

By not feeling confident while meeting new people, you can be very athletic and relaxed in your athletic abilities. Chances are you are confident in more ways than you can feel. The key to discovering realistic confidence is to clear up some of the misconceptions you have developed.

1. False Belief:

I believe that to be successful in life I have to be competent in all the important areas of life.

Realistic belief:

I know that achievement based thinking is not the right way to feel worthy. I get some satisfaction when I get the things I am willing to do, but I know that failures have nothing to do with my personal worth. I was born worthy.

2. Incorrect Belief:

The past has shown me how to believe in myself or not. My past is my most important guidance system.

Realistic belief:

When we grow up we do not have the same weaknesses as when we were young. You have gained some awareness of how you feel you should continue to influence in life. You choose the areas of the past that you will allow keeping in the present, but you do not have to be a slave to the past.

3. Wrong belief:

Everyone knows that bad thing are more than good things. The good things I do are given too much importance with all the bad. People remember the bad, so I should too. Maybe if I concentrate enough, my bad results will be less.

Realistic belief:

I know that if I win 4 times out of 5, once I lose and how terrible I feel it is not a positive attitude. I know I can't win all the time! It is enough for me to do something good most of the time.

I can use how good it is to win next time because things are not getting in my way because I know it's only a temporary setback.

There is a lot to learn about how to be confident with learning how to have a more realistic approach to the ups and downs of life.
